Ease Your Hunger Pangs With Some Good Crab Cake Recipes
Crab cakes are one of the few delicate cuisine items that the U. S. Can claim as one of their own. This delicacy is very prominent among the East coast and the Northern west coast. Recipe 1: In a saute pan with melted butter, cook 1/4 cup each of onion and celery until cooked through, and then set aside to cool. In another bowl, whisk together 1/3 mayonnaise, 2 eggs, and 1/3 cup of sour cream. To this mixture combine onions and celery and add some freshly chopped dill, 3/4 cup of monterey jack cheese, a bit of Worcestershire sauce, and a teaspoon (tsp.) of Old Bay seasoning. Add 1 1/2 to 2 pounds of lump Blue crab meat and mold some patties. Pan fry each patty 5-8 minutes per side in a light coating of olive oil.
Recipe 2: Combine 1 egg, a spoonful of mayonnaise, a dash of Dijon mustard, a dash of Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 cup each of dill, parsley, and cilantro, a diced clove of garlic, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Chill for 20 minutes and then add 2 pounds of lump snow crab, 1/4 cup of panko bread crumbs, and 3/4 cup of crushed crackers, and stir carefully. Refrigerate mix for 45 min. And make proportional patties. Bake patties at 350 degrees for 8 to 12 minutes until cooked all the way through.
Recipe 3: In a large mixing bowl, add 2 cups of prepared bread crumbs and a 1/2 cup of crushed oyster crackers. Add 2 large eggs, a 1/2 cup of mayonnaise, 1/3 cup of mustard (preferably Dijon), a tbsp of lemon juice, and a tbsp of Worcestershire, and mix carefully. To mixture, add 2 pounds of Dungeness crab meat, 1 small diced tomato, 1/8 cup of each chopped parsley, dill, and cilantro, Old Bay seasoning and salt and pepper to taste. After mixing, refrigerate for 2 hours and form patties. Grill patties on a soaked cedar plank for approximately ten minutes until cooked all through.
