Have A Meat Lasagna For A Great Meal

What’s on the menu for your dinners this week? A great chose would be the meat lasagna. This mouth watering dish along with a salad and some fresh bread, is sure to please the whole family.

What you get with a meat lasagna, is a marvelous mixture of a sauce with Italian spices, cottage or even ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese and ground beef.Just layer all these ingredients in a pan and cook it until the pasta is tender and the cheese is bubbly and melted.

The difference in lasagna that makes it unique from other pasta dishes, is the fact that you don’t have to cook the pasta before baking. The lasagna noodles can simply be layered along with the wet ingredients. It may take a little longer to bake, but your family need never know that the pasta wasn’t cooked first.

Another great meat lasagna uses chicken and Alfredo sauce. In addition to the sauce and chicken, vegetables are also layered into the pan.

If you prefer the lasagna without meat choose red or white sauce and substitute vegetables such as zucchini, spinach or even carrots. The veggies give the lasagna a great taste and are much lower in fat than meats are.

If you’re trying to cut back on the carbohydrates, try your traditional lasagna recipe using steamed cabbage instead of the pasta. The flavors are very close and might fool your taste buds.

For baking that lasagna you chose, you are going to need a casserole dish that is about three inches deep. You should also use a square or rectangular pan, due to the shape of the noodles.

If you are lacking the deep dish casserole dish, you should consider getting an aluminum pan that is disposable. You can find them at any of the grocery stores in your area. They also make it so that you can freeze some ahead of time for a dinner next week. Plus, they do make clean-up time a lot easier.

On days when someone asks me What Can I Cook With The Ingredients I Have, I tell them Meat Lasagna! Quick and easy to make with items that I have in my pantry all the time!
