Pancakes for Breakfast

You do not have to go to a grocery store and buy a prepackaged pancake mix; you can mix a mix of your own right at home. If you ever cook in your own home it is not hard to do with some simple ingredients from your pantry.

The basics that you need to complete your own original pancake mix are as follows: flour, sugar, eggs, vanilla, salt, baking powder and baking soda, milk and vegetable oil. How much of each ingredient you should take into consideration depending again on the type of pancake you prefer.

More flower will create thicker pancakes, more milk will create thinner pancakes. You will have to play around with the ingredients to get the right texture you desire.

After finding the right texture, pour cup of the mix onto a hot skillet, this should make a pretty good size pancake. Obviously, if you want a bigger pancake, just pour more mix.

Once on the skillet, after a little bit of time, the pancake will start to bubble. This means its ready to be flipped over.

You can also add more ingredients, like chocolate chunks or berries to add some more flavor to your pancakes.

The new ingredients will mix completely when you flip the pancake over.

So next time you go to the pantry to get your pancake mix and to you dismay, you find you don’t have any, don’t fret. You can make you own pancakes from scratch.
