Preparing Chicken With Rice And More
There is a famous adage which goes like this The way to a mans heart is through his stomach. I for one fully believe this because before I married my man, I had literally impressed him with my culinary abilities. I secretly believe that one of the reasons why he married me (apart from various other impressive traits about me!) could be the fact that I was a good cook and he is a true foodie. It is not just that, he has a number of loyal friends and each and every one of them happens to be real food lovers, and some times it becomes a horrendous task for me appeasing all of them if they happen to drop in for breakfast or lunch during the weekends. Can you imagine some of them who happen to drop in for breakfast, tend to overstay and have lunch too! A friend of his from a distant city had visited us on official work. The promise was kept to my husband, and the decision to stay with us rather than in the company guest house was honored. During his stay we happened to go out for dinner on two or three occasions. This man would request a chicken dish every time we went out to dinner. Once it was recipe with chicken and rice, which would catch his fancy. Next it would be chicken dipped in this and chicken dipped in that, etc. As a vegetarian I am somewhat unfamiliar with the names of meat and poultry dishe’s, but I believe one is plain chicken curry. Once he even went to the extent of barging into the hotel kitchen and giving tips to the cooking staff on fried chicken recipes and grilled chicken recipes! I am surprised that the hotel management did not seem to mind all this. I could not stop being nosy and I asked him how could he stay so thin and fit while he always ate chicken dishe’s. He nonchalantly replied that he never believed in the theory that chicken preparations could make a person fat. He kept on saying that chicken was a very valuable food and people should eat it sometimes. Simply choose your food before you eat. When you have chicken, cut down on other items and balance your calories.
